SENIOR HR SPECIALIST – PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT & INCENTIVES (BRAZIL)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an HR professional to own the performance management cycle of our Brazilian operations, end to end. You will build the system from the ground up: define the metrics and KPIs used to evaluate each department and position, run the annual appraisal cycle, design incentive and PLR programs, and turn performance data into insights for management.

This is a bridge role. You will translate the management principles of our Chinese headquarters into a model that works for Brazilian teams and fully complies with the CLT and collective bargaining agreements.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Design the performance management system

• Build, implement, and continuously improve a performance management framework adapted to Brazil.
• Create performance metrics, evaluation criteria, and weighting structures for each department and position, aligned with business goals.
• Balance headquarters' management requirements with Brazilian labor law (CLT) and collective bargaining agreements, reducing employment-related risks.

Create incentive programs for commercial teams

• Design KPIs, commission plans, annual bonus schemes, and PLR (Participação nos Lucros ou Resultados) programs for senior sales and marketing professionals.
• Benchmark against local market practices to attract, retain, and motivate high-performing talent.

Run the annual performance cycle

• Lead every stage of the cycle: goal setting, ongoing monitoring, evaluations, calibration meetings, and final results.
• Ensure consistent execution across all business units and subsidiaries in Brazil.

Calculate bonuses and deliver performance analytics

• Calculate, validate, and reconcile performance bonuses and incentives based on approved policies and appraisal results.
• Build reports and dashboards that support decisions on salary adjustments, promotions, talent development, and incentive allocation.

Ensure fairness and compliance

• Manage performance appeals and employee concerns objectively, transparently, and consistently.
• Keep the appraisal process well documented and compliant with labor law, collective agreements, and internal policies.

Train and coach leaders and employees

• Design and deliver training on performance policies, appraisal procedures, and evaluation standards.
• Explain and localize headquarters' management concepts for the Brazilian workforce.
• Coach managers on how to set goals, give feedback, and evaluate fairly; measure training effectiveness and recommend improvements.

WHAT YOU BRING

• 3+ years of hands-on HR experience in performance management, including full ownership of annual appraisal cycles and bonus calculations across multiple departments, business units, or subsidiaries.
• Proven experience designing performance and incentive schemes (KPIs, commissions, bonuses, PLR) for senior sales and marketing professionals in Brazil.
• Solid knowledge of Brazilian labor practices, CLT, and collective bargaining agreements.
• Strong command of KPI, OKR, and other performance management methodologies.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, bonus calculations, reporting, and tracking.
• Experience planning and delivering corporate training programs, especially in performance management or leadership development.
• Fluent Portuguese and English, written and spoken.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience in Chinese-invested companies, especially localizing headquarters' performance practices for Brazil.
• Working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
• Professional certification in HR, Compensation, or Performance Management.
